My Trip to Australia

Day 2
The next day I went to the park, later planning on taking the Ferry to a local beach. In the park I saw the weirdest gazebo. It had an arm weilding a knife and was made up of faux barbed wire:

Later that day I took a ferry to Manly beach. Manly beach. Hmmmm. Was this town named much for the same reasons they called a certain country Greenland? Probably doesn't help that the primary way to get there was on a Ferry.

Here are some shots of the ferry ride from Sidney to Manly:

And here are some shots of Manly beach and, oddly, a nearby tunnel called the Wormhole:

On the ride back I met a nice elderly Irish couple. Their children had moved to Australia so they also moved there so that they could retire gracefully and continue to pester their children. They told me all about the boats and the zoo and the other beaches. Since they were Irish I asked them if they knew my friend Eamonn O'Brien, which they did not. So I can only conclude that either Eamonn or they are not really from Ireland.
